First Aid (REC)

Rescue and Emergency Care

Outdoor First Aid

Relaxed, friendly, practical, fun and professional first aid training for all.

We are one Wales' leading providers of Rescue and Emergency Care (REC) first aid courses. Mark Baggy Richards your tutor has been involved and teaching within with REC for over 20 years. He started out on his first aid path whilst working for Plas-Y- Brenin delivering courses there.

Our courses are delivered in a way that promotes an enjoyable and friendly learning environment. REC courses are not designed to overload you with terminology, but to provide training that will equip you to deal with a wide range of first aid scenarios. Sitting in a classroom for 2 days is not what this course is about. Its about building confidence and getting hands on.

The 2 day course is ideally suited for instructors, teachers, youth workers, voluntary assistants/leaders, climbers, canoeists, expedition providers, park wardens, shopkeepers; actually it is relevant to anyone who wishes to gain an understanding of first aid and requires a 16 hour based first aid qualification.

The course meets the requirements for most National Governing Bodies such as ; Mountain Leader Training (MLT), Canoe Wales (CT), British Canoeing  (BC), DofE, Scouts, Girl Guides,  etc.

REC has been established for over 30 years and has approved and endorsed trainers across the UK and within Europe.

Do you require any previous experience?
No previous first aid experience is required, we cater for all abilities.

Are you assessed ?

There is no formal assessment. However, you need to engage in scenarios and demonstrate you can carry out CPR and use of a de fib.
